This report seeks to update the Committee on
the progress of the LEGA Study which primarily proposes to suspend
any such work on the West Bank elements on the basis that it might
prove unnecessary and therefore not a good use of public
money.
The updated Study will proceed with the brief for the
Riverside/Climping areas. Given that the rationale for undertaking
the brief was to explore other delivery options, this study will
examine the LEGA Strategic Allocation from the perspective of scope
for enabling delivery to come forward more quickly and viably
through looking at the site in context with surrounding land uses
to see whether there is material evidence to suggest the
configuration could be improved.
