This report seeks approval to consult on a draft Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP) for Arun. The BAP will set out the approach to delivering Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) and priorities for nature recovery in Arun informed by the evidence base (e.g. BNG Study 2022). The BAP will also be an advocacy document setting out opportunities and proposed actions for encouraging other stakeholders to contribute towards nature recovery (e.g. residents, businesses, farmers, schools and institutions which hold or influence land and water management).
