The Standards Assessment Panel reports to the
Standards Committee.
It has a membership of 3 drawn down from the
Standards Committee and this also includes 1 Independent
Person.
Its functions are set out below:
(1)
To meet as and when convened by the Monitoring Officer to assess
written complaints made against an Arun District Councillor or
co-opted Member of a Town and Parish Council within the Arun
District in respect of an alleged breach of the relevant
authority’s Code of Conduct.
(2)
To conduct hearings, take decisions and determine sanctions in
accordance with the Local Assessment Procedure
(3)
To report the outcome of their assessments to the Standards
Committee
